Dr. Aminu Gusau Ph.D, mni, is a product of American universities with his last degree – PhD – in Business Administration with specialization in International Business. He is a member of the National Institute, the foremost public sector think-tank of Nigeria – Nigerian Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies. A lecturer and trained management practitioner licensed by the Centre for Management Development.
After more than a decade of lecturing at the University of Kansas and a Program Director, Africana Leadership Institute (ALI) at the University of Kansas, United States, Dr. Gusau honoured an invitation by the then Nigerian Government in 2011 to revive the railways sector of Nigeria. The government assembled a reputable team, where he was called upon to take a job as Director, Administration and Human Resources of the Railway Agency. Spanning close to a decade, they succeeded to bring back the railways, working optimally.
He was called again in 2018, to join the government’s anti-corruption agenda, working as a Director, Planning, Policy and Statistics Department of the prestigious Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Later in the EFCC, he was elevated to the Director of Organizational Support and the coordinating Director, making him the 3 rd ranking Officer in the organizational hierarchy of the foremost anti-graft agency in Nigeria. He retired from the public service of Nigeria early 2022 and was appointed as a visiting lecturer at the University of Abuja to the Sultan Maccido Institute for Peace, Leadership and Development Studies.
